1. About ShopCast

ShopCast is an affiliate, referral, commission management, and live-selling application for Shopify merchants. ShopCast is operated by Home & Well Inc. ("ShopCast", "we", "us", or "our").

This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, stored, and disclosed when merchants, their authorized partners, affiliates, creators, live sellers, and other users interact with ShopCast.

2. Information ShopCast Processes

Depending on the features used by a merchant, ShopCast may process the following categories of information:

• Shopify store information, including store identifiers and information required to connect and operate the app.
• Product information made available to ShopCast by the merchant's Shopify store.
• Order information needed to identify and calculate sales attributed to ShopCast partners, referral links, campaigns, or live-selling activity.
• Partner information provided by merchants or partners, such as partner name, email address, referral code, status, commission rate, product assignments, and account information.
• Referral and attribution information, such as referral codes, link activity, tracked visits, and associated attribution data.
• Commission and payout information, including calculated commissions, payout status, transaction references, and related records.
• Live-selling information needed to create, operate, and manage ShopCast live-shopping sessions.
• Settings and configuration information supplied by merchants, including branding and feature preferences.

3. How We Use Information

ShopCast uses information only as reasonably necessary to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the ShopCast service. This includes:

• Authenticating stores and authorized users.
• Managing merchant and partner accounts.
• Creating and tracking referral links and campaigns.
• Connecting eligible orders and sales to partners.
• Calculating and managing commissions.
• Facilitating merchant-initiated partner payouts.
• Assigning products to partners.
• Providing and managing live-selling functionality.
• Displaying reporting and performance information.
• Providing customer support.
• Protecting the service against misuse, fraud, security threats, and unauthorized access.
• Meeting applicable legal and regulatory obligations.

4. Shopify Data

When a merchant installs ShopCast, the app receives access only to Shopify data permitted by the access scopes authorized for the application. ShopCast uses this information to provide the functionality requested by the merchant, including product access, referral attribution, order attribution, commission management, and related reporting.

ShopCast does not sell Shopify merchant or customer personal information.

5. Referral and Attribution Data

ShopCast may record referral identifiers and related activity to determine whether eligible store activity should be attributed to a particular partner, affiliate, campaign, or live-selling session. This information is used to provide attribution, reporting, and commission functionality to the merchant and their authorized partners.

6. Payments and PayPal

Merchants may choose to connect supported PayPal functionality for partner payouts. ShopCast uses merchant-provided PayPal configuration only to provide the payout functionality requested by that merchant.

Sensitive PayPal credentials stored by ShopCast are protected using encryption. PayPal processes payout transactions according to PayPal's own terms and privacy practices. ShopCast may retain payout status and transaction references necessary to provide commission and payout records.

7. Live Selling

ShopCast provides live-selling features for eligible merchants and authorized partners. Information necessary to establish and manage a live session may be processed by service providers that support the live communication functionality.

Merchants and partners are responsible for ensuring that content they choose to present during a live-selling session is collected and shared lawfully.

8. Service Providers

ShopCast may use service providers to host infrastructure, store application data, provide live communication functionality, process merchant-directed payouts, monitor application operation, and provide other technical services necessary to operate ShopCast.

These providers receive information only as necessary to perform services on our behalf and are subject to their own contractual and privacy obligations.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

ShopCast retains information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain legitimate business and transaction records, resolve disputes, protect the service, and satisfy legal obligations.

When Shopify sends an applicable data deletion or redaction request, ShopCast processes the request through its designated privacy and compliance mechanisms. Certain information may be retained where required or permitted by law, including records necessary for financial, security, fraud-prevention, or legal purposes.

10. Data Security

ShopCast uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.

11. International Processing

ShopCast and its service providers may process information in Canada, the United States, or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. Information processed outside a user's jurisdiction may be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction where it is processed.

12. Privacy Requests

Merchants, partners, and other individuals may contact us with questions or requests concerning personal information processed by ShopCast. Depending on applicable law, individuals may have rights to request access, correction, or deletion of their personal information.

Where ShopCast processes information on behalf of a Shopify merchant, we may direct a request to the applicable merchant or work with that merchant to respond.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as ShopCast develops or as legal, regulatory, or operational requirements change. The effective date shown at the top of this page identifies the current version.
